Those farking dog walkers are just protesting for protesting sake. In a way, i want them to have their landfill only so it will devalue their farking properties. better still, build an incinerator and hope it will poison the cants.

To be blunt WF is an absolute sh*thole and hardly anyone in the area uses it in any way shape or form.

However, the council is skint as of rising immigrants (hence rising benefits being paid out) and Tory cuts so need some cash.

Thus the council giving it away for gratis is irking to the locals.

The club haven't helped themselves by engaging with the local community erm, not at all.

So wrongly/rightly the WF people are getting a lot more support than people think who don't live this way. They're talking and meeting with councillors and MPs - the club are doing nothing.

They need to up their PR game. I checked and this advert cost £2K - pennies to the club if they want to start engaging locally. They should be hold opening forums, setting up a pop-up shop in Ealing Broadway and engaging with the people that live here. You know, all the basic, simple things any developer or bloody business would do!

Dog walkers use Trumpers fields or Elthorne park
I think Rangers will loose interest anyhow due proposed developments on Windmill lane
Making access to W/F difficult to say the least

An addition

As i look at this site I have a Car Giant advert at the top.

The 607 went by earlier this morning and for the umpteenth time i saw a bus with a cargiant advert on it. They're also sponsoring a lot of local events, a lot of charity things and have been holding job fairs.

Their Marketing and PR plan re Old OAk Common is in full swing.

Local Councils are as WSR has stated under extreme pressure at the moment finacially and it would seem that local parks are very low down on their spending priorities hence the bending of planning rules involving MOL (Metropoliton Open Land) and Hounslow for example is encouraging Free Schools to apply for new sites on this kind of land rather then brownfield sites which would have been unheard of just a few years ago and getting away with it

My two pennies worth living here is that the club, if they act quickly, could meet with the Save Warren Farm lot & the council (with all parties invited) plus Virendra the MP for the actual site and Rupa the "main" Ealing MP and have a big open and honest discussion. Everyone would have to "give" a little but a compromise could be found. Also it would be great for QPR locally and help increase the fan base. Ealing has a SHED load of Koreans, Japanese, French new residents who have kids and are affluent. Door to door i can be at Loftus Road in a 30 minute WALK. This is prime for "new" families and fans.

The club have put in a second application for a new site in Greenford but that's far from ideal looking at.
