And all because we had a manager too stupid and pigheaded to play players in the correct position

He is a superstar already, we just tried to make him a carthorse. You dont have a 1 in 2 international record for a good team if you're no good.

He and Sanchez play great together for Chile so would be a superb move for both the player and Arsenal as he'd be cheap. They will play him in the right sort of way and he'll score for fun.

I recall Gary Neville taking about Vargas one Monday night and specifically about when He and Sanchez gave England to complete runaround at Wembley the other year when they beat us 2-0. He said the movement was exceptional.... so what did we do, waste him on the wing to track back and support the FB.... FFS.

Is anyone surprised/ we just had 2 inept managers who didn't know what to do?

Didn't this happen with 2 successive managers, at least 1 put him on the pitch even if it was the wrong position.

If this happens, cue all the Arsenal fans you know telling you what a great player Vargas is as if we never knew

However, fair play to said manager for actually bringing him to the club in the first place. However I do wonder if the problem was more he never suited being played next to Charlie? Some forward combinations just don't work.

The damage to the player's attitude HR caused had been done by then, to a player who was only here on loan

Think he wanted out long before Ramsey took over from Redknapp.

Sorry Stan but that's nonsense. Anyone on here will know that I'm far from Harry's biggest fan but you can't pin that on him. Vargas never wanted to be here, he didn't care about QPR and he didn't take any pride in pulling on the shirt. And before you say "well we shouldn't have signed him then", Harry didn't, Vargas and Isla were signed by the board!

                              1) if Vargas never wanted to be here he wouldn't have signed in the first place
                              2) Vargas was recommended to the board by Harry and his scouts. There were no qualified footballng people on the board at the time to have ever made such a decision alone
