15 goals in 34 appearances for an attacking mid/winger last season, in a league of similar quality to the Championship(IMO)...can't be too bad!

I wonder what influence (if any) Leroy Fer had over his decision to (apparently) sign for us. Both on the bench v USA the other month....

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, maybe Fer wants to stay?

Fer is the most underrated player to play for rangers with regards to posters on here. Far too good for the championship but if by miracle he stayed he'd be the best player in the division
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Have to agree. Whilst he isn't the most consistent, the odd game he is a bit of a passenger, he is a real talent. Can carry the ball past people like they're not there and has a great strike on him. Personally think there is no way he is staying. He is a Dutch international and this is a Euro Championships season, he will not want to jeopardise his chances of making the squad by playing 2nd tier football. I would be amazed if he stayed. Just hope we get a decent sum for him.

Surely Chery would've tapped up National Team-mate Fer about Qpr before he signed? If Fer was to say he's hoping to leave/doesn't like it here I couldn't see Chery being happy to sign.

........But like I said, I'm probably thinking (*hoping) too much again.

Ps. Agree with Weare, Fer is a class act.

Fer is by quite a distance the biggest talent at the club. Giving him a central role would have kept us up if used from the start. When he is on the ball, he moves so smoothly for someone of his build. He's like if Adel had true physicality.

Fer has to potential to go the furthest out of anyone in our squad. IMO

I wouldn't say he's young and promising anymore, but would be very interesting signing.

Whilst I agree that fer should have been used in a central role your deluded if you think it would have kept us up . A lack of goals wasn't the problem it was the other end where the issues lay . Fer playing central would have done nothing to improve an appalling defence

Fer is good enough for any squad in the Premiership to be honest. Very good player, I still don't see him as a true #10 though, more a box to box player. Adel as #10 with Fer behind and Sandro sitting back is what we should've gone for last season imo.

Don't know if he's responsible for this transfer though, sounds like a lot of guesswork to me.
