Disappointed but pleased at the same time. With SWP I was just ####ing ecstatic.

I am more relived to have him off the wage books, but still think under the right circumstances he could have been a success.

I am also disappointed that Redkrapp did not manage him better or at least convince the Board to sell him to Milan last summer. I seem to recall they wanted him but QPR asked for £5M. had they negotiated a lower price, they would have saved on his wages last season (and however much they paid him to go now).

I would guess he they wouldn't pay anything and we were happy to get rid of his wages so that was the best solution.

Anyone know why we terminated his contract rather than just sold him on a free? Kind of insinuates that we would have had to pay him off, at least partly, for the last year.
