Great move for him if true. Massive club Benfica, 65,000 fans, champions league. Right decision for both parties to move on, and good luck to him.@chrisrobson9Comment

Good luck to him but still can't over the fact he robbed our club for all that money, we paid him very well and it's a shame he didn't want to work for it.
Don't players feel guilty for collecting wages and sitting doing nothing, he must be really laughing at us, but then again so are many other players who have come and gone.
The club need to cover themselves, in the future by adding that all players must train and be fit ready for selection, if not you don't get paid.Comment

Ditto.My thoughts too WeAre.
Always was (and still am tbh) a massive fan of his. He is by far & away the most talented player we have had in my time following Rangers, he was a joy to watch on his day. However it'sa shame he is a waster & has been a drain on resources recently. Good move for all if true. As thers have said, really hope he gets his head right and performs like he can there, be great to see him perform on the big stage. Good luck chubs!
However, I still think that Redkrapp is largely to blame for letting the whole scenario get to the stage it got to. Had he been a more disciplined manager he would have got better performances out of him.
Warnock did and so did Hughes, yet Redkrapp couldn't manage him at Spurs nor QPR.Comment

Can't have destroyed his talent otherwise the portuguese champions wouldn't have bought him. He turns it on when he's at a bigger club, don't be surprised if you hear a lot about him next season (on the pitch)."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0Comment
