they didn't sign anyone during the summer transfer window for about £10m, only to discover that said player couldn't take part in the latter stages of the same season's run-in because of residence visa issues.
they don't currently have any threat of a fine in the regions of tens of millions of pounds and/or transfer embargoes, points deductions, league expulsion.
their new training facilities have received planning go ahead with no problems.
their stadium is in the city centre and holds more than 52,000 fans.

so tell me, why would he prefer to be a number 2 to a rookie coach at a club with financial problems, substandard training facilities, a small stadium, the threat of expulsion from the league?
Clearly, because he took a job as coach for us last season, and just a couple of weeks ago turned down Newcastle.

Exactly far to hasty me thinks LF has had a big say in the matter if clement goes to derby then he would have come here with CR as a number two or even mc claren as no1 hope I am wrong but I think a hard season coming up

If we need someone to work with Ramsey L F should do all he can to try to get Hoddle back , Ramsey may well be a good coach but I think that's his limit , his use of subs as and when leave a lot to be desired , but then I never could see L F and G H getting on Hoddle knows what he wants to do and wont be swayed by anybody

Would take McClaren with Ramsey as his no. 2 tbh. He's well qualified and was a good influence when he was here.

Do not want Hoddle here, he's one of Arry's boys and is from an outdated era, the guy's lost about the modern game. Let him do his punditry.

Also, I don't see why Clint Hill should be anything more than a defensive coach, aside from being a nice bloke he has done absolutely nothing to suggest he is manager material. Maybe ion the future but this club need to stop handing out jobs based on sentiment.

Just in case you hadn't realised. Hoddle left months ago and we already have a new manager in place on a 3 year contract. Just saying.

The post above me was calling for Hoddle to return. I know we're sticking with Ramsey, personally I feel he could benefit from working with McClaren.

Hoddle won't return. One of Redcrapps mates & saw no improvement in us whatsoever since the day he signed the contract with QPR.

Spot on - did absolutely fck all IMO....probably just swanned around the place banging on about how he could've had 200 International appearances if he had been French or Italian.

I am a fan. There is no way on planet earth that he will play second fiddle to Chris Ramsey!

He did a fantastic job at Middlesbrough, who are in the same football echelon as us. Had he not dusted off his brolly and headed south they may never have been relegated and he might still be their manager.

Personally, I think Derby are crazy. He was doing great things there. These owners need to have some patience. Would have loved to see him come here but we could hardly keep Chris Ramsey hanging while we hoped for something better to come along.

Despite the pay cut Clement will be the highest-earning manager in the Championship following an impressive coaching career

unbelievable how farking stupid tony is. with the likes of warburton, mcclaren, clement available he decides to give a 3 year contract to a youth team coach.

                                clueless.
