If it was such an honour to play for us he would sign a new contract. Not knocking the OP but Austin is hardly going to risk a chinning by disrespecting the clubComment

Imagine him in a team giving him service all the time like Southampton...he'd be scoring for fun. I wouldn't mind if he left, mainly due to the fact he knows he's a premier league player and he won't have that same hunger in the championship as he did last season, even if he does genuinely like QPR. Plus I want to see him reach the top. He's a top fella and deserves success."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0Comment

I think we would have more a chance keeping our top players if they thought we would return soon. Not going to happen sadlyI must away now, I can no longer tarry

I would think his agent would be happy for him to see out his contract. Loads more money to be made with an out of contract player of that quality.Comment

not for a minute am i going to have any of this slagging off of charlie. the guys been immense and contributed heaps, in a season thats been awful, to say the least.
and: in today's day, I wouldn't rule out him going somewhere where he's highly paid/overpaid to warm the bench, and then decides to fark off after 2 years of doing that and then comes back to us, especially if we are in a much better position. he knows he's a hero in W12, and will always be welcomed back with open arms.
would be stupid to burn that bridge, and send him off with a sour taste in his mouthRangers Til I Die

I think he might live out in or around Berkshire and probably popped into Chiswick on his way home.
I'm sure a few weeks ago he was interviewed and he was playing golf at a course in Berkshire, so presume he lives out that way.Comment
