if we had won today, a draw at Anfield would have been a good result. now it's the other way round. The teams that will scrape out of this are pulling off the odd remarkable result. We have our chance next week. Blow it and it really will be the time to start building for the Championship -those who have written us off need to wait one more week - hopefully the players will make us proud next week, one way or another.

3 points from liverpool and city, then 6 from newcastle and leicester might do it. So 9 points. A tough ask though.

Hasn't it taken about 6 months to get our last 9 points? Can't see how we suddenly get 9 pts in a few weeks. I suspect we won't win another game this season. Maybe we'll get another point somewhere.

The opening comment in the OP sums up the whole season for me- "if we had won today"...... Ive said it, everyone's said it over the course of the season- "IF we had won today", "IF that goal had gone in", "IF we only done this", "IF we only done that". Thats all we've said all season but unfortunately all those 'IFs' have stacked up and given us one hell of a mountain to climb.

BUT its in my nature to keep believing, and all the time theres a chance (no matter how slim) ill keep believing.

We do love doing it the hard way but massive ask now. Sunderland won't get to 36 points and I don't think hull will. We would need to win 2 out of the next three to have a chance going into the final game. Can't see it personally. Would be surprised if we picked up 4 points prob against City and Liverpool lose Newcastle lol.

I hope Leicester keep winning and are safe before we play them. This could possibly give us 6 pts from our last two games. And then anything we get from the other two games even if a point or two might do

2 wins and a draw could be enough, but even that looks tough
