Thinking pragmatically now, I'd love Ramsey to stay.

He has bought us honesty and hope; two factors that been missing in the last 4/5 years.

Ive been proud of our recent performances. Keep that up and we have a chance... But above all,
we are slowly getting our Rangers back.

EXCLUSIVE: Chris Ramsey has pledged his long-term future to QPR – insisting he will remain at the club for as long as they want him. The 52-year-old was handed the role until the end of the season.

This is what message boards should be about! It's important that Ramsey can only work with the hand he's been dealt -given that, I think some of his decisions have been spot on. I particularly like the way he works with the younger players. IF the noisy minority keep quiet and we give the club a chance, next season might be fun -no matter which league we are in.
        Hope the meal was good!

Having dinner with a pal in Novikov tonight & saw said player with another guy. The player knew my pal & they started chatting. We were all introduced & had a drink before our food came.

He basically said Chris Ramsey is an unreal coach. So tactically astute & thinks outside the box big time. He said the players absolutely love working with him & some of the most experienced players have said he's the best coach they've ever worked with on the training pitch, has excellent ideas & his sessions are top notch & that as a manager he's got it all bar experience.

Also said the plans the club have in place for youth, a plan to go forward with & a proper structure is fantastic & that Les is a massive part of that too. Ramsey is all about development, be it youngsters or coaches. Said he wants to make it clear to every youth player, if you work hard enough you'll get into the first team. All we've been asking for, for years.

After a long chat I really think Fernandes was talking about Ramsey when he said he has his dream manager. This player said he's a massive breath of fresh air & the players have let him down with lapses in concentration that was no fault of his own.

Finally when I said in all honesty do you think we can do it, he said most definitely. He said Gary Cahill & John Terry both said we should of beat them hands down & they mugged us. We knew that, but does give you a boost.

Just thought I'd let you know as for me it's important the players are happy & responding. Think we'll do ok with Chris Ramsey.
If the players are behind him that's it for me, "get rid of him, all of our players are crap"!!!! Only kidding!

The key point in that is the senior players have brought into his concepts, let's roll the dice and stick with the guy, a DOF like Warburton? Job done, I just feel we need a football person a bit long in the tooth assisting Sir Les.
          Kept the faith!

Great post Jimmy and confirms what I thought. You can just tell by the players attitude and togetherness, it's why I fancy us to stay up.

TF was definitely talking about Clement though and admitted on London Call In that it wasn't Ramsey at first but very possibly it now is.

Great post - really enjoyed reading that! I like Ramsey amd what ever division we are in I think he deserves the chance to take us forward. Especially with his philosophy on developing youth.
It's such a shame this change wasn't made just after Xmas as I believe the extra 3 or 4 ga,es would of made all the difference.
It's going to be tough but I think we got a chance. If the worst happens and we can keep the nucleus of this squad then we will be in a very good place going forward.

Great post, thanks. I like him a lot. He looks so kind and He makes me feel like he really cares about us, the players and the club in general. Been a long time since I had that feeling, I must say. Give him the chance alongside Paul Clement.
We can´t say no to Clement, can we??

A week ago I'd made my mind up we're finished. For some odd reason, Ramsey fills me with optimism & I just don't know.

                        Still in our hands.

Great post, nice one. I've a massive amount of time for Ramsay so it's good to hear. Bar silly mistakes at bad times we'd have amassed a load more points in games he's been in charge for. Ultimately, he's got us competing home and away and players committed so can't ask for much more.

                              I like Chris Ramsey , but let me lay scenarios;
                              1) If we stay up , he deserves a go , however is Warburtion better option ?
                              2) Whilst California Hoop's suggestion of Warburton as Dof does appeal , are the board of directors brave enough to go for it ? , considering that means moving Les Ferdinand on ?
                              3) If we go down the financial restrictions will make George Osborne's austerity seem like a light touch , Ramsey's salary will make him a cheap option , but alas he wouldn't be any signings like Austin and Phillips , I doubt we will be able to,afford a Karl Henry signing

great post jimmy. boy, if im pumped up after reading that i imagine the players must be pretty confident as well, and explains the decent form we've seen lately.

tbh, Im surprised a player on the team revealed all that to a fan. in this day and age of twitter, iphones, and remember back when Hodgson getting in hot water when he spilled a thing or two chatting with fans on the tube.

                                glad you shared though
