Lets face it, the vote for Stewart was a bit of a charity vote because he was the most improved player, but that was starting from a fairly low base. You saw his clumsy challenge to give away the penalty on sat, then despite his supposed aeral domiance they were all over us for a while at crosses and it cd easily have been three or four we let in at the back - against BARNSLEY AT HOME. If some fans feel secure with him at centre half then I admire your loyalty. Me? I'm always on the edge of my seat. There's a touch of the Danny Maddix - great for 89 minutes, then comes the howler.

the best result for us this year wd be if simpson won player of the year because it wd mean he wd have scored 20 odd goals which wd mean we might not be a million miles off the pace. more likely, however, judging by last season's judging that it will be someone like gary borrowdale... :waaaht::waaaht::waaaht:
