I'm not sure it will, it's far too tight. If we lose at Stoke and Southampton then beat Sunderland, it's not going to much look different to now to be honest. We need to somehow put 2 wins together, that's when it changes. Palace beat Spurs and Burnley and went from 19th to 13th and 4 points clear of relegation, that's when it looks different.
Even taking 6 points from 9. We just need a couple of wins in a short space of time.Comment

Got to see Fer in his natural role.Comment

Like that a lot... but Id like to see more of a Caulker/Ned partnership. Other than that spot on imo. Also really want to see what Zarate has to offer, be good to give him a decent run out.

I went for the Ned / Dunne partnership because I thought 1st half against United they were solid. Caulker came on and we seemed to switch off a little at the back IMO.Comment

Seeing as we now have the team news regarding fitness, my team would be.What would be your team for Stoke, providing everyone is fit and available?

Isla Caulker Dunne Yun
Sandro Henry
Vargas Taarabt Zarate
Austin
The reason I drop Ned after his good performance against United is due to Stoke being decent from attacking set pieces but weirdly very poor at defending them. Must be a Mark Hughes thing as I seem to remember every time a team got a corner against us when he was in charge, we conceded!
For me, Caulker and Dunne attack the ball far better than Ned and I feel we can cause a lot of problems from attacking set pieces. Caulker scored in the home game. Dunne may not be fit though as he went off injured against United, in that case, Ned would replace him.
Hopefully Yun has recovered and I think everyone will agree he has to replace Hill.
If Sandro is fit, he replaces Barton. Henry has been outstanding all season in my opinion and with him and Sandro playing as a defensive midfield unit, I'd be quite happy.
Is Adel off to Milan? If he's available, he has to play as a number 10 for me. If not, I'd play Fer in that position. Leroy seems to struggle with the defensive side of his game, especially when playing out wide. I think he's a little bit lazy. Going forward, I like him and I feel he'll be decent as a number 10.

True, plus its always going to be hard dropping Dunne after the season he's having. Certainly 1 of our most consistent players.

Very rarely we ever control the midfield of a game but most of the time they only see the ball from below as it his hoofed upfield. Hoping the Scouse Pirlo doesnt try too many of his quarterback diagonal lumps up the field either. Still reckon we have our best chance to get something from an away game for a while.Comment
