JJB claimed Osvaldo was in London quite often over the last 10 days yet Inter claim the striker went AWOL and was in Madrid seeing friends. Considering Inter are the main part of the transfer (we're effectively taking over their loan) and an Inter director was in London trying to sort the deal, I'd guess they wouldn't make such claims if he was in London tying up this deal. So in answer to your question, JJB followed the press speculation, just like he did with Caulker.

As for signing Osvaldo, it's a gamble as he's an absolute loon, good player though and if his head is on, he'll do well. A possible debut at Stoke, red card on his debut a possibility!
