Not close to signing anyone - Harry

In report he says they are looking but not close to signing anyone and since Harry likes to do his business of final day of window I can believe that.

This is a man who got away with a tax scam by lying in court about being unable to read or write.

Not sure why we should take his word on football transfers

Harry and all managers will say that. He's hardly going to come out and say, yeah we're close to signing someone and alert other clubs. We weren't signing someone a few weeks ago, a day later Zarate was confirmed.

I agree, but in this case I believe that QPR will as usual wait until deadline day before making any more signings.....

It's not a case of wanting to wait until deadline day. Harry has said plenty of times he wants business done early but the transfer window is a merry go round. No club is willing to let someone leave unless they have a replacement and it's basically one big cancel out until late in the window.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has rejected speculation linking the club with Brazil forward Alexandre Pato.

It was reported earlier this week that the R's were keen on signing the 25-year-old, who currently plays for Corinthians.

Despite admitting that he was offered the former AC Milan player, Redknapp has claimed that Pato will not be coming to Loftus Road this month.

"I got offered him. Someone rang yesterday and today it's in the newspapers," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"He is obviously a good player and I am not being disrespectful to him but no, he is not the type of player we are looking for. I am sure he is a good player but he would not be for us."

QPR return to action next Saturday when they make the trip to Stoke City in the Premier League.

Could be that finally Harry was told NOT to expose what the club dealing with. Happened last season when Harry nearly confirmed certain transfers, to then find out that the deal broke at the final minute. I admire that he is keeping the cards to his chest.

I was listening to that Tim Vickary on Talk Sport a while back and they linked us to him and he said that he does not have the heart for a relegation battle so maybe that is what Redknapp referring to when he says he's not for us.....

It's all too easy to say we need to make a couple of "quality signings", but that says nothing about the areas we need to address. Do you mean goalies, strikers, or what?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
