    Hoddle wants to stay

The former England, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea manager has been touted as a possible replacement for Alan Pardew at St James' Park but he has distanced himself from the role.

Don't blame him, probably gets paid just as much for doing not a lot in the background at QPR as he would do as manager at Newcastle. Apart from anything else who would want that Newcastle job? Pardew did a decent job there on a very tight budget and had to put up with dogs abuse from a large section of the Newcastle fans!

Maybe not the end of the season but soon, I think it's good news myself, maybe the fact that he wasn't approched might have something to do with it but a bit of stability at the club is what's required!

Need to get his finger out then because up till now wouldnt say he's proved his worth, originally bought in so we could play a 3 5 2 which was soon abandonned, so not sure what he's doing? we have so many coaches now i'm not even sure Harry has much say in what the team is anymore, Hitchcock, Bond,Jordon,Hoddle, and the guy that came form spurs, seems like a lot of chiefs

              You forgot to mention Les!

Honestly, it is a joke how many senior coaching staff we have at the club.

To me, the positive influence and effect of Schteve McLaren was very obvious when we had him.... can't honestly see what Glen's bringing to the table at the moment? Still, I'm not privy to what goes on behind the scenes and day-to-day so perhaps I should keep an open mind.

McLaren did seem to have a positive effect. However, that was the first few weeks in the Championship and even though we were winning some of our results even then were not that impressive.

Newcastle seem to be having a hard time getting a manager and cant help thinking there are problems at the club. Pullis turned then down, McLaren turned them down and so far not too many names are on the horizen.

As I said earlier, why would a decent manager want to go there? Even Steve Bruce turned them down and he's a Newcastle fan (plus he's sh*t)!!!

                            1.) Limited transfer budget.
2.) Ungrateful fans with unrealistic expectations of where the club should be.
                            3.) Not huge salary payers.
4.) Unpredictable chairman at the best of times, who currently has 1 eye on a full buyout of Glasgow Rangers.

Personally I think the Newcastle fans will have got what they deserve for giving Pardew so much grief if it all goes pear for them now!
