Yep lets waste more money while we have a decent center half cutting his teeth at Gillingham.

What makes you think Ehmer is premier league standard? He has not even played at Championship level. You would presume all the coaches we have with all their experience would recognise if he was up to premiership standard.Originally posted by MyWord View PostYep lets waste more money while we have a decent center half cutting his teeth at Gillingham.

Ehmer has been around the first team for a number of seasons now under 3 different managers and none have deemed him to be worth a start. He is very highly rated at Yeovil where he had a couple of successful, extended loan spells, and I suspect that is probably his standard. He will probably go on to have a good career for a Championship side.Originally posted by Brian Wilson View PostWhat makes you think Ehmer is premier league standard? No harm in having players like that in the squad, on the bench if called upon and used in the cups if we choose to play a weakened side. I really don't think he;s a player we can look to long term if we are trying to cement our place in the Premiership though.
I watch as much of the U21's and U18's I can. From what I've seen the one prospect we have that is ready and could make a real difference in the first team is Michael Petrasso.

CLARETS BOSS THRILLED WITH KEANE SIGNING
Sean Dyche has expressed his delight at capturing the signing of England U21 international Michael Keane.
The Manchester United defender moves to Turf Moor after putting pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal, and the Clarets boss is looking forward to working with the 21-year-old.
“Michael is a good young player and we see a lot of development in him as he’s on a good pathway at the moment, and we’re delighted that he has decided to join us.”
