Loved watching vargas today in particular, mainly because I feared he wasn't performing to his potential prior mainly due to lack of energy etc. Glad to see today he was really up for it. Plenty of great moments, my favourite being him going in for a massive tackle and getting the ball from it. Proved his work ethic for me today which will do us well against the hard working Burnley side and on his end of the pitch in particular, the even harder working George Boyd.

Bit harsh, although he wasnt great I thought he was better than Onuoha who was dodgy all game, even when he moved to CB when Caulker went off.

I was asked a few weeks ago as to whether Rio was at fault for results so I checked prior and it was pretty even on wins and losses, but looking at it now it looks totally different.

7 Defeats in 9 with rio, only 1 win in all competitions. 6 defeats in 13 without him, 4 wins.
2.22 goals per game conceded with Rio, 1.46 without him.

Got to offer both of them a decent contract and sign them. These are exactly the type of players we 'need' at this club!!!

They're also the type of players that are too good for our club atm. They must be well p....ed off after playing for Napoli.

I'd like to think if we don't splash the cash this window we do our best to get these two permanently. Whether we would get them is another matter.
