We are going to need to step up to stay up. I just can't see it under HR but I've been pleasantly surprised the odd time, so maybe. I see a couple of draws in January, to go along with another humiliating FA Cup first hurdle exit.

4-6 is the best I can see, hopefully I'm way out and we get more

Swansea on this showing will be a hard nut to crack loads of pace and movement in their team

Exactly why I think we will struggle against them, they will have too much pace for us

Even losing 4-1 to Liverpool, Swansea look to have too much for us, so a draw at best. United will beat us, Stoke will beat us and we'll cling on to an undeserved point at Burnley. Deux pointes.

What on earth have I said that suggests we should give up? If you are going to criticise me at least criticise what I have actually said rather than what you would like me to have said. I dont see us beating Swansea but have not predicted we will lose. When have I said Burnley are world beaters? It could be argued I was actually being quite optimistic predicting a draw when we have lost every single other away game. Most other fans on here are also pretty realistic about our prospects against Stoke and Man U. There are several clubs around us who have something like one win in 12 games so a modest points haul for the month would hardly be reason to give up. Our points haul in Dec was boosted by playing relegation rivals at home and we managed to take advantage (just, and often against the run of play). I'm the calm one with modest expectations about this month. The hysterics are the fans who predict crazy good results then get all suicidal when they discover the Prem league is a bit harder than that.

Right for whats its worth I think we are more than capable of beating swansea if we play correctly not over extended our selfs in attack and get caught out on the counter by their pace need to play like we did against man city and the fans need to create a good atmosphere to lift the team then QPR to nick it 2-1, man u well is a tough one but again I have seen rangers get points over the years in games where they should not have smallishl ground call it a hard fought draw. (Wake me up in feb) the away games I must admit stoke is unlikely but if we want to stay up we must win away or at least not lose the burnley game so a draw this is the month where we earn our right to stay In the premiership as for the cup swap the 4th round for 4-7 points in jan

Well done those that called one point!!!!

Throwing it away against swansea seems such a long time ago now those two points would have come in very handy
