Petition - ask QPR (like Chelsea) to pay a living wage to all their employees

Signed this petition some time ago. Honestly can't believe some of the comments on here. Any businessman who needs staff to make his business work, and won't pay his staff a fair days pay, for a fair days work, should either be forced to do the right thing, or be closed down. Exploitation should never be tolerated. QPR pays fortunes to players who do little or nothing. The least we can expect is that even the lowliest employee is earning a living wage at the very least.
As for this, if you don't like it, just get another job, nonsense.....Christ almighty, what ####ing decade are you still living in? The 1970s?

of course if they are only on minimum wage rather than the living wage then the difference will get made up on benefits. and who pays those benefits? the individual tax payers, you and me and thats a fact. So is it better that they receive a living wage that means they dont need to claim benefits, directly from a large corporation such as QPR or Nandos or Subway Or Starbucks, that make little or no contribution by way of taxes in this country, or is it better that we let these corporations pay minimum wage, and we subsides them through our personal taxation?

Yep. And don't forget extra subsidies for stuff like healthcare services that you can't afford if earning £6/hr. The low minimum wage is effectively a huge subsidy for large businesses that pay low wages. A subsidy paid for by taxpayers, that ends up in the pockets of shareholders in Tescos, McDonalds, call centres, etc.

What do those share holders do with the money, they spend it, on trades and services, they increase pension funds, etc etc, it all goes back into the economy.
Just that its not your economy where most of it is spent, as most is owned by foriegn investors.
