    Interesting comparison

Rodney 218 career goals in 505 games = a goal every 2.32 games
    Stan 154 " " " 565 " " " " " 3.67 "
    Clive. 202 " " " 428 " " " " " 2.07 "
    Les 184 " " " 443 " " " " " 2.41 "
    Paul 230 " " " 732 " " " " " 3.18 "
    Charlie 205 goals so far in 326 " " " " " 1.59 "

I realise that this is Charlie's first season in the country's top league, but the boy's done well.

Sorry about the untidy layout,it was a lot better in the draft before posting it but I think you'll get the drift.

All in lower leagues gee but yes a decent record. Need to compare those stats from now. Sir les was in a different league but if he ends up half as good then the lad has done superb
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

So far in the prem, 12 games in, he averages a goal every 1.7 games!

A very promising start from Charlie and It would be interesting to know what average goal ratio the other players mentioned above managed to get after their first 12 matches in the Prem.

Interesting stats - my take on it is.
Rodney scored a lot of his goals outside the top league I would think.
            Stan wasn't primarily a goalscorer.
Clive was really only a goalscorer but that's a pretty impressive record as I would think most of his goals were at the top level.
Les had more to his game than Clive - again impressive record
Paul - I would think most of his goals came outside the top level
Charlie - most of his goals outside the top level but he's in his mid 20's so lots of time to get more at the top level (hopefully with us!)

You do have to be a bit careful with stats... Charlie could play the next 80 games without scoring a goal and still have a better goals to games ratio than those listed above him and we definitely don't want that. If he can carry on the remainder of this season with his current strike rate that would be about 20 goals in his first premier league season. That would be amazing!
