Have we sold a player for a profit since...Danny Shittu to Watford eight years ago? And Peter Crouch before him, thirteen years ago.

Genuine question. Discounting any weirdness over Chris Samba.

Aside from Shittu I don't think we've sold a player to a Premier League club for a fee since Trevor Sinclair. That could well be the single most damning statistic from the past 20 years of QPR mismanagement.

(Routledge and Crouch were both sold to Championship clubs at the time.)

So since Big Danny Shittu and other than Remy (£8m) sold for a profit of £4.5m (including Newcastles kind rental)
Danny Simpson(Free) sold for £2m and the tenuous Stirling.....

Jamie Mackie (£500k) sold for £1.5m (2013)
Kasper Gorkss (250k) sold for £350k (2011)
Wayne Routledge (£600k) sold for £2m (2010)
Mikele Leigertwood (£900k) sold for £1m (2012)
Lee Cook £150k) sold for £2.5m (2007)

Although to be fair, the last 4 weren't under TF's ownership, which was the OP's initial point.

If we're going to offer a new contract, offer 30/35K plus bonuses, and leave out any clause so that we don't have to sell him for cheap. We need to start protecting the club.
