I think the density of the area also has to do with it. Don't know how they decide what colour the square goes it's easier to get that in south London where it's more sparsely populated.

And one of the biggest area wise.

Anyway it says on there that the team with the most tweets get the square and each square is 500m x 500m. If we're second even by having 1 tweet less we get nothing to show for it.
