    **** or bust tonight

Of course mathematically it wouldn't be over by a long way. Just think lose tonight or throw away a draw could have a damaging affect on the club at the mo. On the ropes big time as a whole. Think the club needs to change its direction. Not sure there is fairy tale ending to the current regime.

given our record against sides managed by paul lambert, a draw wouldn't be so bad - we'd be off the bottom (a positive) and still in touch albeit distantly with sunderland, leicester, palace etc. i think calling it "**** or bust" is over the top at this stage of the season.

it's more about the performance for me... villa are going to try to soak up pressure and punish us on the break (where we're clearly vulnerable), but a poor overall performance and we should restart the conversation about red chap's future, a mediocre performance and we're back where we were before the liverpool game, a good performance and i could live with it.

Agree about a draw. I meant if we conceded late to lose 2 points.... Need something tonight. Performances don't do it for me, goals and points do.

Our defence should beware Christian Benteke who is fast and effective in counter attacks. He has just returned from long injury and would be hungry.

Zamora should start today alongside Vargas. I would keep Austin on the bench and bring him in the 2nd half for Zamora.

A draw at home against pish-poor Villa would be a good result with us staying near the bottom of the table and Chelsea and Citeh matches coming up next? OK, if you say so.

As fixtures stand only one of two midweek home night games

Win is only what matters today. Of course good performance would be a bonus, but this ain't figure skating or horse show.

If we are going to stay up we need to get more points Villa is is as simple as that.
I predict we see Green and Ferdinand back - maybe a draw and HR is off in 2 weeks time

That's what I thought to be honest.

Anything but a win is a disaster.

If we want to stay in this division we have to be able to beat teams like Villa at home IMO.

If we can't beat Villa at home, we may as well join the players and give up.
