Hmmm, perhaps they should stick to the cricket. Funny how people can watch the same match and see it so differently. Nobody covered themselves in glory against the Hammers but I thought Fer put in a shift and did as well as anybody. I'm really mystified by the abuse he seems to be getting for that match, and also how quickly people seem to have forgotten how well he played against Sunderland.

As for how he has done in general, he's already racked up one MOTM award on this site in just 6 games played, and has votes for MOTM in several other matches:

I guess if you were expecting Lionel Messi you were bound to be disappointed.

I think Fer has done OK.. He needs to settle in a little bit more but I think he could be a good player for us, IF he puts the effort in.

Look at our squad, look at our manager, look at our coaches. We're nowhere near knowing what our best 11 is, what formation to use, or even what most of our players' strengths are. After promotion we had yet another massive squad overhaul - we are not a stable club.

Why should they stick to watching cricket ?

It was their opinion on watching him in the Spam game NOT Sunderland !

They had constructive criticism & praise for a number of players as they do for all the games, really are an interesting knowledgeable group of real football fans, well worth listening to IMO.

One's an Oldham season ticket holder who still gets a semi talking about Clint Hill ........

For us that would mean around 29k."

It was just a quip NW, I didn't mean it to be taken seriously, I'm sure they know their footy! Peace!

Harry doesn't know where to play him. For me he is an attacking midfielder, his tracking back is very poor.

I voted he hasn't, but funnily enough, I would say he was a disappointment today.

Not because he gave the ball away quite a few times, creative players like him try the more difficult passes and sometimes you will give it away, but rather because he did some of the simple things poorly. That miss in the first half was very bad, the header was a free header and maybe he should have scored (although maybe I am being harsh), a couple of corners were quite poor, and the free kick at the end was a nothing ball.

That said, I think he is a good player and should only improve as the season progresses.

That last free kick was certainly a disappointment...............I could call it a lot of other things too.

The poor corners mentioned, but not the one that we equalised from?

That doesn't change the fact that he did some things poorly today.

No but a recap just of the mistakes is unfair, and smacks of bias.

He played well, got an assist, but also made a couple of big mistakes.
