    Matty Phillips

Did anyone else think he had a good game?

Actually thought it was his best game this season, looked dangerous and was putting some good crosses into the box... shame Austin was having an off day could've had a couple had it been another week.

Yes, apart from his shooting which has been poor all season - an aspect to his game he needs to improve. (Had clear cut chances to score at Spurs and Man Utd)

His strengths are his crossing (just what Charlie thrives on) and running at and taking on defenders with the ball, both out wide and through the middle.

The way to get the best out of him is to give him the ball into space or so he can run on to it. Isolate him on last man and he puts decent ball into the box

Looks better as a sub than when starting I think, as does Bobby. Was quite optimistic with some long range shots but if there is nothing else on why not.

Henry I thought was only 2nd to Niko today. If they both play like they did today 2 good players to have on the bench if needed.

And very good at others .

Tbh think he is very capable at this level against sides we need to compete with (Ie forget united and spurs away ).

Has been better both time coming off the bench than when starting. How strange is that?

isla wasn't that great today but he is a class player and will come good as for matty he had a good 2nd half and worked hard just wish his shooting was a bit better.all in all a decent point coming from behind twice.

I think he is one victim of Harry's failure to have a stable starting lineup. His confidence has gone down aftermissing sitters (Spurs and Man Utd). Harry made the mistake of starting him from the first game after a long injury. Matty should have been introduced from the bench gradually. Perhaps the same mistake led to Faurlin injury.

Now look at Sandro, Barton and Mutch. Harry keeps starting players when they are not fully fit and we are paying the price. We clearly have an issue with our fitness that needs to be sorted.
