HR should have had strikers lined up already as Remy's clause made him a ridiculous bargain and there was never a realistic chance that he'd stay. and if he did no harm in having Remy, Austin, A. N. Other; Vargas & Zamora

Typical Redknapp, leaves it to the last minute then it's all 'There's no one available'.

As for the deadwood, would you want them in your team at those salary's?.We are stuck with them unless someone is mug enough to take them.

As has been stated many times, a lot of fans not blaming the club in the slightest for refusing to pay a so-so player 90k a week. what they find frustrating is that we didn't sign A striker to replace Remy. Hooper? Crouch? Sometimes you have to be pragmatic.

As it is, we've shafted ourselves by taking this stance. We'll happily give Adel Taarabt and SWP a combined total of 110k a week, but scoff at Borini on 90k. It isn't about acting Charlie big spuds, it's about common sense, and taking a calculated risk.
Do you think he is worth 90k a week??

Sandro is about the best DM we could have hoped for, so happy on that front.

But HOW do we not have a single striker we can turn to now. We always knew Defoe was overpriced, that Welbeck would go to a bigger club, that Remy could leave at any point.

Just go for Hooper or whoever.

If we persist with one up top should get away with it until jan or worse case scenario name 24in squad and hope a decent unattached player presents itself

So what happens if Austin breaks a leg (literally) at Utd?

The point is we shouldn't be in this position. Weve had all ****ing summer for god sake why hasn't the obvious lack of goals been adressed. Its gonna be someones elses fault thats for sure

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles
