Pity we haven't really got the players for the old-fashioned 4-2-4. Hoof it upfield to pacy wingers who can cross the ball: with a big man up front and a smaller nippy forward picking up the crumbs. Those were the good old days. Maybe we need Crouchy...maybe not. But 3-5-2 against the better sides with the players we've got/could realistically attract isn't going to get us many points just hidings. But even if we continue to play 3-5-2 in EVERY game, then barring major injuries, and if Remy stays, we'll probably just stay up, by 1-2 points.

If we'd had two in midfield we'd have lost by double figures. I know we only effectively had one, Joey, but at least Fer (f ack's sake) and Mutch (ado about nothing so far) acted as human cones slightly slowing down Spurs' play.

People got way to carried away with Tom Hitchcock because he scored a winning goal from 3 inches against Ipswich , i would have Carroll in my team to create , lets see how he does at Swansea if he gets a chance , Petrasso is one of ours and has good quality , nice touches and can see a pass , why not give him a run out

Lets get some perspective here people. Mutch and Fer are going to take time to gel with the rest of the squad. Fer isnt even match fit yet. Can we give them a little bit of time before writing them off please? Faurlin should have started and Fer brought on from the bench imo. But just because we have had a bad lossto a much much better team than ours (which will happen a few times this season) lets not push the panic button yet.

Haven't written them off, Ginger. Just giving them some stick. We need them to come good.

Not you specifically mate but in general. They will come good, we just have to be patient. Yesterday was Fer's first start since the end of last season, not sure why Harry started him at all.

Totally agree , ive had two bets that we will stay up after the game yesterday, with people who find it funny to mock, , but we have to be flexible and realise we cannot play certain formations against certain sides away from home, no problem at hq , but box clever and make it as easy as you can because this is a beast of a league and you don't want to be shipping in goals
