Doesn't really matter if we have heard of him or not tho mate - just so long as our scouts have and this isn't Joey's agent punting his client forward on the back of a few clips on You Tube.

Hope he's a good un. Yesterday notwithstanding I think its a very great positive that we have a good team spirit, so don't want any sort coming in and ruining that....

Agree entirely, but don't think we should go down the W12 route of assuming that someone called Barry equals "the right sort" and is therefore necessarily good and anyone who is French African (or even just plain French) is "the wrong sort" and therefore a bad player. (Am not attributing this view to you btw, but the signings have been good so far and if we really are after him am happy to back the club's judgement).

My gut feeling is that Sigthorsson will be 4th striker and that this lad is only a backup IF Siggy deal falls over or Remy leaves.

True but he's likely to cost £7m, whereas Siggy is £5m and he's been a long term target.

The extra £2m might be key in bringing 2 Midfielders in. sounds like TF & Co are not so keen on spending 2 x £7m on Midfielders (Fer & de Guzman)

Very fair point. The trouble is once bitten, twice shy. But in Harry et al and Tony we must trust.
