...and they still have no idea about putting players on either goalpost for the corner that lead to the goal. The most basic thing in football, shocking.

Otherwise, did ok, midfield weak spot, Barton and Faurlin not for me, crap penalty.

Funny thought Barton did very little, had a least and dozen free kicks and corners which were mainly terrible, most corners did not clear first man, will be lucky to keep his place if Fer signs, as for Faulin great bloke but without the sentiment is too slow and not premiership class,do not understand fans love fest with him. Barton + Faulin as main stay midfield = long hard season and probable bottom 3.

Unfortunately Ale is too slow and cannot shut down players quick enough. He has already shown previously he is not a starting player when he was shipped out on loan to Italy. He does have some technical ability but that is not enough especially in our team.

I'm sure they know more than you about it. So if they're putting players on the posts who do you propose do they leave unmarked. Also if the ball gets headed to the edge of the box, what then? Is it ok to leave that space unmanned and let the opposition have free shot on goal. There's only 11 players and to cover all areas you'd need more. Personally I think it's always better to get your players to stop the opposition from having a header on goal rather than put a player on the posts.

Looks like it was hard for you to admit that...

Sorry guys, but it's a fact that less goals are conceded with extra defenders around the six yard area than on the goal-line.
