This new QPR app!!! (Hivecore)

Totally burning out my battery on s4 in a couple of hours. Had to remove Hivecore but then app doesn't work. Useless. Anyone else having similar problems?

I tried to download on I phone and it couldn't find the site

I think the point of it is that u can use it in the stadium. That's why they made it so it can pull data from other phones in the stadium where there's no reception. This in turn drains the battery which they know about it and warn you about it. Think there's a setting which the app stops pulling data at say 25% battery.

When the fans arrive at the match, the app connects to other phones that have the app, building a network directly between the phones. Anyone who can get a signal pulls down the latest content to the app, such as breaking news, live scores or Twitter updates, and circulates these updates to other phones. It does not facilitate general Internet access at the stadium - only the updates all fans care about such as the live scores and the current match statistics. You can control how much of your app data you share, and the battery level at which the app stops working on the "Settings/Preferences" screen.

Please Note: This app uses location services to determine if you are at a Stadium, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life but we will keep the GPS usage to a minimum.

Thought it was great at the match. Was getting the live scores seamlessly. When I tried the skysports football app it wouldn't work. You could also get some of the stuff people were saying on twitter about the match not that I care to look at that. But this hive thing about the signal did work it seems.

The drain on my battery (78%) usage from this app was on Friday evening and not at the game . Hivecore have emailed me saying they are looking into why this could happen.
