I would 100% have him as my captain.. he has won all that there is to win as a club player and was one of the best CBs in the country for years.

Most of the players look up to him already so I think it would be a great move and I don't think any of the players would argue with it.

Clint is likely to be a bit-part player this year (although we have been saying that for the last four or so seasons!) so it makes sense to give Rio the armband. Clint will remain club captain though.

his hats sell well to ******s with no personalities, i honestly really detest him, he is the epiphany of a premier league footballer, a tacky smug sh*t. he's a great football player but he's not earn his captaincy at qpr. bartons passionate about the club and has some substance. rio's a tool

I don't think he implied that. Goldstein asked if it would be Rio and Harry said he'd need to speak to Clint first before saying anything about who's going to be captain next season..... Harry could just as likely stopped himself from naming Joey or any other player than Rio. Goldstein pushed him and he gave nothing away..

In fact at the end, Goldstein said, "pass on our congratulations to Rio, the new captain" to which Harry replied, "don't have a bet on that one!"
