I'd do the same and hope that Cesar takes the hint and f*cks off. Unfortunately he'd just the kind of despicable mercenary that would rot in the reserves on full pay before taking a pay cut for regular football elsewhere!

Which is the point the OP was making !
Selecting only 2 keepers, having an U21 as a 3rd choice, thus freeing up an extra outfield squad place.
But he opted for Cesar over Murphy.

I doubt it will happen - we'll pick the 3 over 21's in the squad.
If Cesar moves on in August we'll bring another GK in.
If after Sept 1st, we'll trust in Lumley for 4 months or insert a return clause in the Brazilians loan contract.

I'd definitely try for McCarthy, he was the difference between us at home 2 seasons ago - immense save from Granero's free kick and stopped Adel 1on1!
