                    Not exactly the case. He's had a pre-season with Juve and knows the wing back role inside out, I'd have no worries about starting him.

                            There is the problem about him not knowing his teammates. But I guess the only real way he will get to know them on the pitch is by playing.

                                    Exactly, hardly going to be short of fitness overall. I guess Simpson will start but would have no worries if Isla did.

                                        It's not pub football Ging, or an important position where you need to know what your 'partner' is going to do, for example, centre half. Granted, it'll get better over time when he and the midfielders etc are on the same wavelength. Good players can go straight into a side and hit it off.
