Fair play to Blackburn though - it warns a lot of clubs off a player that is integral to their promotion plans. If this was us in the Championship, I'd expect the club to price Charlie out of a move.

Gary Bowyer wants to keep Jordan Rhodes at Blackburn but says he's an exceptional player and there's no guarantee he'll be at the club by the end of the transfer window.

I thought he'd just signed a new contract? I'd prefer Rhodes over Deeney to be honest.

Thats the reason he did sign i would imagine , Blackburn trying to protect there biggest asset , also Hull will have to buy out that contract if its Hull who get him.
