Sunderland were interested. They offered 1.5 million (refused) and then came back with an offer for 3.5 million which was also refused. Nothing appears to have happened since then.

No question that he'd be a useful addition to our midfield. Then again that could be said about any number of players.

Have cardiff actually agreed a fee with anyone for medel. Apparently he has a 10 mill relegation release clause according to the bbc. Would be amazing along side barton. Taarabt would have room to roam.

Only negative i could give is that he never seems to be fully fit. Allways blowing out of his *** after the 60 min mark and is subbed. Sure theres stats online comparing him to ross barkley and he had far better stats last season, when everyone was raving about Barkley.
Last year of contract so cardiff have to sell if an offer of 5 mill came in. Personally think you got yourself a bargain.
Hes also good at defending corners as hes such a big guy. Front post clearance.
Likes to block fans on twitter so dont try having a bit of banter with him as he dont like it (maybe thats the child in him)
Much appreciated GG! Seems to have a cracking left foot, even has a great right foot as well and a great footballing brain with positive running at defenders mentality. Would be great if this happens. #MutchAppreciated

Must admit to not know mutch about Much, but going by the comments from the Cardiff fans he seems a bit of a player.

22, English, Prem Experience. Tick Tick Tick. Get him in

Apparently we are set to sign for 5 mill. Think hes a decent player tbh.

Rickyranger have you got any inside info on this?
To be honest Maidstone I thought he was going to Sunderland until I looked this morning, decent player but don't think the fee will be 5 mill but a little less. Could be we have become interested I will try to contact my cardiff mate and see if he has any info.

Would be top signing - He always looked a threat last year for cardiff in a pretty poor team. Good age again and seens if true we really are buying sensibly and long term targets.

Don't think he will be an alternative to Fer but additional, if we don't get Fer will try for Sanchez. Not sure the Fer to Southampton story is genuine, more likely his agent trying to get him a better deal, used to play under Koeman but he got rid of him pretty quickly!

Would be a good signing IMO, Thinking about it Cardiff had a pretty good side last season ie Mutch, Noone, Marshal, Medel,Caulker, Campbell, zaha, Odemwingi and the Icelandic guy in the middle with Medel can`t think of his name but was class when I watched him. Maybe we should think about stripping some more from their side???
Just goes to show what a tough old league this is. We need to get it right this time..

If we added fer and mutch we certainly would have a massive impetuous of energy in the team. Both have the ability to drive at defenders.

Midfield 3 of mutch barton fer would be pretty decent.

Sounds big and strong too with power at set pieces. Last time we were in the prem we got bullied too often and gave away so many cheap goals from corners etc. hopefully with players like mutch we will be harder to beat.

Seems there is interest on both sides. He is in the last year of his contract and doesn't want to play in the championship having experienced and done ok in the prem. Very much open to offers, probably between us and Sunderland if we have expressed an interest, guess it will depend on whether we can agree a deal with both cardiff and him, but does look promising.
