    Cristian Gamboa

Cristian Gamboa, Yery Young left-midfielder and fullback from Costa Rica. In talks With two Premier-league clubs.
Kind of hope we are involved, he played very well for them in the world-Cup. Not that impressed With him on occasions I have seen him play in Norway with Rosenborg.

You've hit the nail on the head as to why signing players based on a World Cup is a huge risk and very rarely works out.

The World Cup is the pinnacle of a players career and the Costa Rica players would have died out on that pitch, will he give the same at club level? Nowhere near, which as you suggest, he hasn't been doing at Rosenborg.

Personally I wouldn't sign anyone based on the World Cup that was previously virtually an unknown. West Ham paying 15 million for Valencia is ridiculous. The lad didn't play up front until a few months ago!

          I basically agree, Mattyqpr.

His attacking ability impressed me though. I havn´t seen him play that way in Rosenborg and we need an attacking wing back, but I can´t see he is Harry´s cup of tea. Yun, who is the same of sort of player is struggling to get a place in the team, it looks like.
