    Steven Caulker

Reports Liverpool terminated a meeting with his agents early after they wouldn't back down over excessive wage demands. LIVERPOOL!!

So if we sign him won't that tell you something? Yet people will be delighted we've got a relatively young player. But at what cost.

we dont even know if we are in for him! yes i would love to have him at rangers but personally i would pay cardiff 9mil and offer him wages of 35k per week with a payrise of another 10k if we stay up.

if he says no then fark him.
    nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Agree but as he's been touted as a potential signing it was worth mentioning.

Apparently Everton in pole position now.

Point I was making was from reading this site people don't want a 35 year old top player IMO in Rio Ferdinand but would be happy to bow to excessive demands from a player who got relegated just because he's younger. Makes no sense to me.

Everton wont pay top dollar. If LFC cant get his cos of wages, neither will they.

That's an unfair accusation as no-one was aware of the Caulker situation until your post (if indeed it is accurate at all)

I thought the same. Saying that it's about perception & what each club thinks that players worth so hard to say.

Liverpool May see him as a back up & want to offer him 35k and not a penny more. Everton May see him as first choice now Distin is getting on & may be happy to pay 40k. That's the difference.

How true those reports are? you never know, perhaps it is ******** talk by his agent to get high wage.

If Caulker ends up at Everton and there is any chance they look to offload Distin then, despite his age, would have him here all day long. Pretty sure he played under Harry at Portsmouth as well.

Some of the expectations re wages on here are so far of the mark. For example Arsenal, not known for particularly high wages, average salary season 2013/14 was around 70k. Now remember that's their average which would include all their youth and squad players. There are many teams with higher wage averages, so to believe you would get Caulker for 35k is ridiculous. You may not agree with the wages etc etc, but unless you pay the going rate you will not get the player, that's why those with the highest budget usually finish in a league position dependent on their budget, us being the exception due to poor player selection and having to pay over the odds to attract even those players.

IIRC Spurs have a buy back option before any other club can speak to him

Which people are happy to bow to excessive wage demands and can you quote the statements please? I don't recall anyone saying they would pay over the odds wages.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
