Good point - but the point that was being made is our average home attendance isn't brilliant either so we've got nothing to be smug about.

This is true, but where'as we're a small club with 13k-15k loyal fans, they're a smaller club with 3k loyal fans.

I know of 4 ST holders, all from overseas working in London, who just wanted to watch PL games. They've all gone and bought Chelsea ST's now.

Suppose they could just as easily have bought ST's at our place if all they wanted was Prem Football to watch....how would people have reacted to that here then? Reckon there'd have been meltdown!

Exactly - last time we were in the prem you could still get a ticket for the big games and only sold out a handful of times in the season - yet a trip to Wembley and 40,000 come out of the woodwork. Now don't get me wrong I think we have some of the best fans in the world but the above would suggest we have a sizeable minority that don't attend games regularly so which fans are the worst. Tourists or genuine fans who cant be arsed to follow their team

Nick makes a good point that it not just as simple as many fans not being arsed to go - I know economics come into this argument but Rangers must have the biggest passive fan base that for what ever reason do not attend games regularly.

Whereas tourists don't have these issues,so a prem club in posh part of London is gonna attract them.Test is how many they get next season,which judging by their dire away support,shows they have little hardcore support.

That's true mate, the good old 'glory hunter' tourist. Whether it be because of a certain player or its just the in thing to do (very much like the fulham fans WHEN they were in the prem) and I'm sure we'll attract a fair few now...... just hope the can sing

Love it nick lol - Know what you mean though - I dont see myself a less of a fan as anyone who's got a season ticket nowadays. When I lived in london and had no kids it was fine getting a season ticket every year. Now with the kids and wife and living outside of London just cant afford every game so have to make do with the 6 or 7 i can get too. Miss going every week like mad but thats life and have other responsibilities but dont think that makes me or anyone similar a tourist fan.

Be interesting to see what percentage of home seats only we averaged selling as the low away support of some teams drop the overall average.

Reckon it could be nearer 95%.

I reckon they will average around 18k next season maybe a bit more if they do well

Also away from home a lot of grounds will be new for them so I can see them taking quite a few away from home

Our own away support has been pretty poor the last couple years ( bar the odd game ) and not a patch on what we used to take away when we were in div 3
