    Just met his uncle. Great guy great family.
    Wish we could find players like him again.
    Who want to earn success for the team not just the big money.
    Him and Byrne up top now a days would be top draw.

    Loved Bannister. Great player, v under-rated. Massive challenge to come in and match Clive Allen's goal every two game ratio and he did it. Didn't he end up a plumber or something? Can't see many of our retired players now - including those without a quarter of his ability - ending up like that.

      I was chatting to Ian Dawes a few weeks ago. He was an under-rated full back in my opinion.

            Calm down drama queen. It was pretty widely acknowledged he had one leg shorter than the other. He's only having a laugh.

                He did have one leg longer than the other...infamous Rs fan Paddy was doing sum building work for him back in his Rangers days and one matchday Bannisters car wudn, t start... He asked Paddy to drive him up to Loftus Rd...!!
                He promised him alias of tkts for Luton away in the FA CUP...& duly obliged meeting us in the car park beforehand...
