Spoke so well and pretty much dismissed the notion of going after the golden oldies. Said Been burnt badly and realised its very hard fro champions league players/winners and premier league winners to get motivated to play at QPR so will be going after a different breed of player.
Basically dismissed lampard rio and when asked about lescott didnt look impressed. Also said 2 or 3 players leaving and hope to bring in 4 or 5. Spoke really well.

2 or 3 players leaving, doesn't sound like too many, if you take into consideration the players on loan who are coming back.

Lots of talk now but my guess is that I dont think much is going to happen for a while tbh. Every club always talks about getting things done early and then do most of it in the final week of the window - that is just the way of football. But also because the club are gonna want to give Faurlin/Granero combination a few games in CM and Cesar a go in goal, Maybe Adel and a few other old faces to try to recoup some of the money the club spent recruiting them. Theres a few games in the EPL before the window closes to do that without burning any bridges. So even though there will be endless speculation I wont be surprised if it is all a bit low key early on and even into preseason.

I think you have it pretty much spot on, however the club will also know which players it don't wish to keep and put them on the transfer list. If we sell any players, it could open up a new chapter.

See it. Come across very well. Won't be seeing lescott that's for sure ruined him. Seems to know what we're targeting and sounds a lot more wiser then before. Fingers crossed he gets it right. Must he going for Townsend as Harry loves a spurs raid maybe even Dawson

I'm not sure guys yes we have players coming back but we know what each of them can do and what they bring to the table in relation to the good and baggage so don't see the need in giving them game time to see what we think we know that now.

Some frank conversations to be had with the likes of Cesar etc ie your not wanted so find a club or rot as if you do stay it's on our terms. How many do we need to shift still I'm thinking 3??

Listen tony was never going to play all his cards live on sky sports. We have to take some of the stuff with a pinch of salt. Ie there will be more than 2 or 3 players leaving. We all know that. He made it clear he doesnt want the one who didnt want to be here to stay plus I think your see more than 4 or 5 players come in.

Would take most of what he said, or what you believe he said, with a pinch of salt. Certainly don't rule out Lescott or Ferdinand on the strength of that interview.

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes says he has no intention of leaving the club and talks of potential targets for manager Harry Redknapp.

Sounds like they already have their targets and none of the already mooted players are amongst them. I sense a well laid out plan, hopefully.

That's a brilliant interview. I really do think we will be a lot smarter in the transfer market this summer. Especially love his comment about us giving it a bl00dy good go. Keep the nucleus of the squad we have, get rid of the deadwood, bring in some players who will not only provide the quality we need in the Premier League, but will also graft and play their hearts out for the badge and the club. We do those things, and we have as good a chance as any of the bottom 10-12 teams of staying in the league.
