No horse placenta lying about? That'll sort it right out.

On a serious note, gutted for the lad. On a selfish note, keeps him fresh for next season.

Hes not our player and has left the club now has he not?? I think what Niko prob needs is a world cup so he's plays through the summer and is fighting fit come start of the season if we were to sign him

Gutted for him, personally don't think he's been consistent enough this season but it's a big shame he's missing the WC...

I think the last thing he needs is a World Cup, and furthermore, we shouldn't be signing him.

He needs a extended run of games to get his fitness up as since he has been with us he has looked far from fit and has picked up numerous niggling injuries. Six weeks training and playing in the heat of Brazil would have done him the world of good

I wish him a speedy recovery and I absolutely think we can do with him in the Squad next season. I like him!! Case closed

That's harsh on him and not good to hear.

Think he has done well in a few games recently but not enough to justify us signing him on a perm IMO, especially now we are heading into a very fast paced, intense league.

That's a real shame. May never get another chance.

I didn't rate Niko at all to be honest, just too slow for my liking.

I hope Harry doesn't sign him.

The likes of Croatia wanting to take him along with other 22 footballers, mean he has class in him to prove in a long run.

Just like Cesar who has left us though he certain is WorldClass, Niko has quality in him.

Let's not slate him because he hasn't had enough chance to show what hes got.

He told Sportske Novosti: "I knew right away that the injury was serious and that I would miss the World Cup.

"I'm really sorry that I will not be able to play in Brazil. The World Cup is something that everybody dreams about, particularly in Brazil.

"But I'm not desperate. I regret it, but I will get over it.

"This is life and things like this can happen. There are ups and downs, there are celebrations and disappointments.

"There is nothing I can do and there are bigger tragedies that this. I guess this was my fate."
