    Derby Fans

Just back, Traveled back on train to Stanmore with loads of Derby fans and have got to say they were really friendly and gracious in defeat. Wished us well next season and shook hands when we got off the train. What a great end to a hard game, didn't see that goal coming!!

Fair play to them, they were well behaved before and after the game going by the ones i saw.

Think they will be going home feeling they have been robbed.

They deserved to win the game easily, but that's football for you.

    Goals win games.

Just read a cracking post on one of the Derby forums -

"There was a young man named Zamora, he fancied himself as a scorer. With Keogh asleep, he silenced the sheep & buried it in the top corner."

Watched the game with a couple of derby fans and they were sound. Our fans were amazing though.

Quite a few of them were clapping at the end... I would have been swearing.

Well done you guys. No point in us bleating (no pun intended) about being robbed, dominated possession etc. As I said on the Brighton board, the the stat that matters is the number of goals scored. Your backs were understandably against the wall after the early injury and the sending off but, you scored more goals than us and therefore deserved to win.

I shan't read all the threads on this (or indeed) or own sites as I'm sure they won't all be as mature and gracious in defeat/victory.

I don't know where you need to strengthen your squad but please don't come sniffing round ours.

            Good luck next year.

My seat was literally right next to the curtain that separated our fans from derby fans, and there was the normal banter during the game, nothing extreme, but when we scored I must admit I was going so mental that I didn't look in their direction but as things calmed down you could sense the disbelief.

At the final whistle many left and were applauding and congratulating us which was commendable considering the waves of attacks and chances they had after the sending off. There were a few bitter relations but mainly it was respectful. Proper family club is derby.

The game has changed, more respect and less of the 'losing self control with anger,' which if we want to attract kids is a good think IMO.

Just got back and I'm getting more pissed, so happy, and so shocked that we scored so late when it looked like we were hanging on to a clean sheet. Green and the 2 centre backs won us this game.
