    So for us Wembley Virgins

Been Wembley before for England games but not with QPR so expecting a different experience and already feel an excitement that I would not feel for an England game. This being the first time im going to soak it up and although out of the direction I will arrive am going to make a point of walking up Wembley way towards the stadium

So for those that have done finals with the Rangers before at Wembley what emotions can us first timers expect??

Went in 86 - Dad got me tickets from a "mate" who had connections with the FA - ended up in the Oxford end. S hit day for lots of reasons!! Had to sit on my hands as we were roundly humiliated by a really crap side.

Don't stop at every pub or offy on the way, as it will take considerably longer than the suggested time to walk.
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

To lose any game is bad enough, to to lose at wembley hurts ten times worse , was there in 86 and its just devastating ,wont happen this visit

I went to Wembley in 1986 after the world cup when it hosted a game between World Cup Stars v English Football Stars as well as in 1987 during the Makita Cup. Never been there since then.

Went in 82 and 86, just enjoy the day, get to the stadium early and enjoy the atmosphere up Wembley way and around the ground, soak it all up cos it might be another 28 years!

Allow 20 mins to get through security and turnstiles and remember to sing from the moment you step off the tube, train , coach or car!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

All the Flags, homemade banners ,singing ,swaying ,p iss and aggro on the packed terraces of 86 ( i was in the seats in 82 ) made for a supercharged atmosphere ,that only our inept performance on the day could spoil.

in 82 the first game was woeful , but the replay we were fantastic , very unlucky and outplayed a very good spurs team, i was very proud of my club after that game even though we lost. forget 86 that was just a complete nightmare the whole team just didn't turn up, Cardiff it was ok , i thought we were marginally the better side, cruel way to lose. Wembley is a fantastic arena to watch your club play at, nearly 40k fans from each side , should be a wonderful experience and a great atmosphere , i really hope win or lose the team turn up and give it a go, i couldn't stand another 86 type performance!!

What made '86 all the worse is that it came after the wonderful 2 legged semi-final win over a Liverpool team at the height of its powers domestically.

Looks like Carlsberg is Wembleys beer sponsor. Any other than that, and what ciders are available? Any more information about the bars and drinking inside?
