Be interesting to see if there is same view from fans to extend his contract like many said to do for Faurlin

Dont see that happening myself, Faurlin has much more of a connection with the fanbase than Jenas.

Besides, since being here Jenas has spent a lot of the time on the treatment table.

Agree with you Norths but on another site they were having a fit over Faurlin getting injured and the club not looking after him well sentiment apart the same surely should apply although I hope they do not extend. only paly devils advocate

Shame as was looking real quality with Barton. Would have been good for play offs. Was reading game and picking his passes well.

As for future wouldn't offer a contract extension in summer but if he wants let him train with us and maybe give him pay as you play if he gets to fitness.

That would be my view and a reasonable compromise. Let him do his rehab with us play with the reserves and if we think there is any value consider options.

Also he is actually an intelligent knowledgeable man when you hear him talk about football and were always going on about the youth so why not put him through his badges and have him working with the future stars as what better way to learn then someone who is freshly out the game, who has played at the highest level and has a head screwed on

I was honestly relieved when I heard this. Every time this guy shows he can actually play football he goes and gets injured. At least this way he's out and we can just move on and not have to worry about him.
