It wouldn't be entirely surprising for someone who QPR fans didn't rate to go on and do well elsewhere would it?Originally posted by West Acton View PostAt what level and where Deeps. I agree DeepOriginally posted by DeepcutHoop View PostThat's the way we play as a team. All season. Percentage football rather than risky passes. It's why our stats nearly always show us with high possession and low shots.
I still maintain that Tom Carroll (and I admit he has not been as good as I'd hoped he would be) gets a disproportionate amount of stick compared to other midfielders.
Just my opinion, and will be irrelevant in a few games when he goes back to Spurs. I still think he'll carve out a very good career.

Not the biggest fan of JJ, but I actually think this is key to us winning the play offs or not. I think Barton's less effective playing with Carroll. Second half yesterday Carroll got the ball on the left with acres of space in front of him; he carried it a mere five years then, under no pressure, cut inside and passed it backwards to Barton. Seen that oh so many times.....Originally posted by gator View PostHopefully Jenas will be fit and able to start beside Barton in the play offs!

Think this is a slight exaggeration to say the least. Carroll replaced with another of our cms doesn't automatically make us solid - Henry/JJ haven't exactly been that much better this season.Originally posted by Joe90 View PostThe weakest link in the team is Dunn and Carroll. Get rid of them an we'll be solid.

Originally posted by The Godfather View PostSomeone please, please enlighten me as to why he is so highly regarded by Redknapp? One of the most infuriating players of the season. Absolutely no physical presence, no vision on the ball and an embarrassing reluctance to get stuck in. At times it's like watching a 12 year-old run around aimlessly in the centre of the pitch. One moment yesterday summed him up: receives the ball in a decent position on the left flank and then slices it into the stand like a Sunday League player. He is just shocking. Start him in the play-offs and we'll just get overrun in midfield. What on earth does the old toad see in him? Could it be a dodgy 'arrangement' with Spurs I wonder? I just can't understand how he is the first name on the team sheet every week.
I can't. Generally he's disappointed me. But in the interest of a balanced view....
Did you have the same feelings after the Forest game, when with 3 assists, he was arguably the MotM ?
And how do you know he's the first name on the team sheet ? I bet that's Green.
Otherwise, a fair assessment.

Spurs fans seem to think he's their saviour for next season. All they see is these great passing stats published all over sports sites, twitter etc. They don't see his flaws..very lightweight and crumbles under pressure. When we're playing well as a team he seems to at the heart of it at times, linking up nicely with the forwards and making some key passes. When we're not doing so well as a team he doesn't play so well either, he's a confidence player.
However, like I've said before, maybe he'd do better in the premier league where he'd arguably get more time and space, plus he'll be playing with much better players that he can learn off.Last edited by SuperHoopNik; 27-04-2014, 07:47 PM."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0
