Not wishing to put a dampner on things but..........

Without Barton we always seem to struggle - we lack the leadership and geeing up - last week v Blackpool, v Leeds, v forest at Xmas - to name just 3. Not sure if we've won a game without joey ?

Definitely doesn't help. I'd argue that Simpson and Austin have had just as big effect, and the cumulative effect of all our injuries has been huge.

Have to agree, without Barton playing, I'm a little concerned.

Agree completely, Barton is the engine.without him were lacking, clever player that should be captain and capable of getting the best out of his team mates.we've had the players of diakates mentality, no disrespect to him but in my opinion football needs Joey love him or not.too many fairys in todays game.take a knock and give a knock or don't play.

What do you expect for a first 11 coining over a quarter of a million quid a week ? Not shots at goal or coherent defending surely ?
