He was too good for us, he was looking to make passes that our players just couldn't read. Our lot at the time were stood static waiting for a ball to come to their feet rather than looking to make any sort of run forward. As soon as he left us went back to Real Madrid and played 5 La Liga games in the 2nd half of the season - can't have been too shabby.Originally posted by Jimmy Rabbit View PostHe wasn't 6 years ago?You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

The 2nd tier of English football just doesn't suit such players IMO. They're all fantastically gifted and technically good players that, given a bit of time and space, they'll pick off superb passes. But in the Championship it's all too hussle & bustle and in your face, they don't like it.Originally posted by West Acton View PostHe defo had something if memory serves me right like Granero started well and slowly drifted downwardsYou should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Not quite how I remember him. He might have improved since then, but just because a club is prepared to pay £20m for him, doesn't mean he's any good, just means football is insane.Originally posted by MattyRangers;1227654He was too good for us, he was looking to make passes that our players just couldn't read.
