He was too good for us, he was looking to make passes that our players just couldn't read. Our lot at the time were stood static waiting for a ball to come to their feet rather than looking to make any sort of run forward. As soon as he left us went back to Real Madrid and played 5 La Liga games in the 2nd half of the season - can't have been too shabby.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment

The 2nd tier of English football just doesn't suit such players IMO. They're all fantastically gifted and technically good players that, given a bit of time and space, they'll pick off superb passes. But in the Championship it's all too hussle & bustle and in your face, they don't like it.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment
