    Same points as Watford?

Our current league position is pumped up by good results in the first ten games of the season. Since then, a run of 22 matches, we have picked up 31 points, an average of 1.41 per match. If that had been our pace for the whole season, we would now have 45 points, the same as Watford.

And continuing that pace for the remaining 14 matches would give us another 20 points, for a season total of 77, which would normally be enough to get into the play offs. As for actually winning once there, not particularly likely IMHO.

So if we hadn't won loads of games this season we'd be on the same points as Watford? Good post.

Actually, it was meant to be a comment on our "current form", with "current" meaning the last 22 matches (that's about half the season).

I think it's relevant because that is the form we are likely to take into the play offs, if we qualify - the "loads of games" we won during the Aug and Sept won't help us then.

If the maths, er, arithmetic, is too complicated for you, why even bother to comment?

So basically we are an average mid table side based on this statistic. I am glad we started well. At least hopefully we can make the play offs and Charlie will be there in time.
