    Dunne quotes

“Things haven’t got on our way, and maybe whatever luck we were having at the start of the season has run out. I think we passed the ball well considering the state of the pitch. Maybe on another day the chances we got would have been easier to convert. The surface was terrible, it wasn’t up to standard, but it was the same for both teams.”

I can understand fans wanting us to get the ball forward over the last few weeks. But the games have been getting stretched and we’ve been wide open at the back.

We’ve got to find a balance and maybe be a bit sharper going forward. Maybe on Saturday against Leeds our luck will change. Everyone’s down a bit at the moment, but you have to put it at the back of your mind although it’s fair to say time will run out on us (as far as the top two positions are concerned) and we'll need to look at it again in the next month.”

“We still believe we can get automatic promotion. The last few weeks have been disappointing but there’s still plenty of time to go and change this, but we need to do it quickly otherwise time will run out on us.

Everyone’s down at the moment and rightly so as that’s three defeats in a row now. But we have to put it to the back of our minds and prepare for the Leeds game next weekend.”

    just a couple of things.

"the chances we had" what farking chances?

"we passed the ball well" that wins games dosnt it!

hople all these finished football players dont have their contracts renewed in the summer.

elmah would do a good job for us next season and would rather players like him than harrys old pals.

So players are not allowed to say the pitch is bad when it was, is there an unwritten rule somewhere? Of course it affects gameplay.

          He did stress that point.

He had a decent game too, it was the sh ite in front of him that was the problem.

Never been one to blame the pitch, always thought it was a load of b0ll0cks as both teams play on it.. suppose you can argue they play on it every other week and possibly aloud to train on it to get used to the $hitness of it. Just another bad day at the office I suppose.... again.

1 thing that does unfortunately stand out for me in this interview is how down he comes across, and that he stresses that everyone else is. He's obviously not going to be jumping for joy but to come across like that in a short interview is not good... but I'm sure with some help with the likes of Hill and Barton they can use their experience and snap everyone out of it and get focused and get their heads around the Leeds game

For those that remember the plastic pitch... We took out the sand for those that liked to play it on the floor and put sad on when we played against long ball teams... So of course pitches can alter results...
