    Derby leapfrog us

Derby's 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday means they go 2 points above us and we drop down a place to 4th in the table. We've got a game in hand over them, though

I may be wrong, but before Mclaren took over at Derby wasn't they quite low in the table?

Not really an issue for me as I can see we aren't good enough for top two. I care about Wigan in 7th much more than Derby in third or Burnley in 2nd. So long as we are in the play offs we have a 25% chance of going up.

I think the odds on a team winning the playoffs are about 16/1

You're going to have to explain that one!

Unless you mean this team, in which case I understand what you are saying because of our record against the other top 6 teams. However, play offs are a different beast and I think every team has a pretty much equal chance going in, so I'll stick with 25%.

Anything could happen in Playoffs and it's only 3 games (2 leg semi, then final) to perform.
Have never liked the playoffs as I think its harsh on the team that may just miss out on automatic by a point or two, only to miss out on promotion to the 6th placed side who ended up a huge points away from them.
They don't have play offs to give teams the chance to stay up in the leagues.
                      I just think its unfair.

Don't know where I got that one mate

I recall reading somewhere last year that the odds were 12/1, but of course if that were the case for all four teams then we could all retire comfortably. Forget what I said!

                        Anyone understand odds?

on this board mate? i'd say that's probably 7/4 on

After watching us against all the teams around us do you really think Redknapp can work out a way to beat Wigan and Forest? My opinion is no which means the play offs are not looking so comfortable after all. There is always a team that makes a charge and always one which fades! And after our two most recent performances we could be that team! Morrison could make a difference but he will not make kranjcar, hill, dunne or o'neill run any faster!
