Sadly it appears he isn't going to take this second chance he's been given. Always thought there was a player in there, but if he can't get the ability to tackle like a professional right by now, it becomes less and less worth the time and money.Originally posted by Mem View PostThank goodness he's not with us - liability. A real shame though as that performance and goal v arsenal showed us his potential

An entire continent? That's stretching the term generalisation a tad Facto, surely?Originally posted by Factamondo View Postin general very poor discipline when tackling !!
I would attribute his consistent on-field indiscipline more to his personal and well-documented mental health issues.

Would argue that's not to do with not being able to tackle but more a philosophy of wanting to win the ball back as soon as possible.Originally posted by Factamondo View Postlook at the record for african nations red/yellow cards in major tournaments....
Surely how Africans tackle is not even close to some of the treatment which was dished out by our own homegrown players in the 60s 70s and 80s???? people never got names like Chopper Harris for nothing and he was white British last time I checked

Fair comment FactoOriginally posted by Factamondo View Postnever mentioned 'colour' westie.......said african continent in general!
and you pull some blinding names below of the alternative but what that demonstrates between the black and white Brits that cannot tackle is that its not a continental issue as we have as many of our own who appear unable to control themselves
Vinny Jones, Mark Dennis, Fashanu and think Fitzroy-Simpson used to like collecting reds
